Glasgow City Youth Health Service – new venue for South Glasgow 

Glasgow City Youth Health Service are delighted to announce a new venue for the South of Glasgow. A holistic health and wellbeing service for young people aged 12-19 years is now available at Pollok Health Centre on Monday evenings between 6.30pm and 9.00pm. Appointments can be made with Nurses, Doctors and Counsellors who are experienced in supporting young people and specially trained in youth health issues.

Young people can get help with: 

  1. Sexual health (pregnancy testing, contraception including implants and STI testing) 
  2. Support and counselling for a range of mental health issues e.g. Anxiety, depression and stress. Onward referral to CAMHS when appropriate 
  3. Drugs, alcohol and risky behaviour 
  4. Relationship difficulties and bullying
  5. Sleep disturbance, screentime, gaming and gambling 
  6. Weight management (Weigh to Go service for young people aged 12-18 years) 
  7. Social problems such as homelessness, benefit advice, school avoidance etc. 
  8. Advice and support on volunteering, training and employment

Scottish Women’s Aid have information for young people experiencing domestic abuse and also a helpline for domestic abuse and forced marriage – Glasgow Women’s Aid also have children and young people’s workers Glasgow Womens Aid
