Art Psychotherapy

Trauma-informed, culturally-appropriate art psychotherapy offers refugee youth and asylum-seeking young people 1:1 and a group session to express and process their unspeakable trauma, grief, or loss to increase their resilience, mental-health, confidence and personal growth.

Through psychoeducation, we are able to explain the effect that trauma has on brain and body allowing young people to begin to make meaning of the physical and psychological manifestations of trauma. We will support young people with personal coping methods and grounding techniques along with therapy.
