YCSA runs free and fun packed programmes for children that are black and/or minority ethnic, aged 12-18. You can take part in arts and crafts, sport activities and fun days out.

The project is aimed at promoting mental health and resilience, by providing counselling, art therapy and groupwork in partner schools and from our offices. A particular emphasis will be placed on transitions from Primary to Secondary school & tackling discrimination by celebrating the right to be different.

YCSA organises and runs many free fun sports and activities within the projects and services we offer including cooking, cycling and indoor football. These activities are seasonal and sometimes take place when we have availability to run them.

This programme is to provide trauma-informed art psychotherapy and mental health support addressing the mental health and well-being needs of 30 refugees and asylum seekers aged 10 – 25, which impact their daily lives acting as a barrier to their being fully able to take up opportunities and integrating into wider society.
