YCSA is recruiting for a new Development Worker – Safe, Happy & Confident project

Fixed term: Until 30 November 2022

Salary: £24670

Youth Community Support Agency is a Glasgow based charitable company working with disadvantaged young people, primarily from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

We are recruiting a Development Worker who will continue the successful delivery of the Safe, Happy & Confident programme.  This is a great chance to use your skills to make a direct difference to people’s lives and have a lasting impact.

Safe, Happy and Confident works with Black and Minority Ethnic young people including refugees and asylum seekers, aged 16-25, experiencing homelessness or insecure housing and with BME young offenders/ ex-offenders / those at risk of offending.

The aim is to provide a safe nurturing space and supports that can enable young people to develop and achieve their potential, reaching positive destinations such as a stable home, college or employment.

The Safe, Happy and Confident programme is funded by Comic Relief with the KFC Foundation for two years.

Closing date is 10 January at 5pm

YCSA is recruiting for an Art Therapist

Youth Community Support Agency is a Glasgow based charitable company working with disadvantaged young people, primarily from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

We are recruiting an Art Therapist for YCSA’s Addressing Mental Health project, part of the nationwide New Scots Refugee Integration Delivery Project. The Addressing Mental Health project will increase specialised trauma informed support for refugees and asylum seekers aged 10 – 25, addressing their mental health and wellbeing needs which impact on their daily lives, and act as a barrier to being fully able to take up opportunities and integrate into wider society.

Fixed term: Contract until 25 November 2022

Salary: £30000 pro rata 21 hours pw (£18000)

The successful applicant will be a qualified Art Therapist, with experience of working with children and young people, an understanding of issues impacting asylum seekers and refugees, and an interest in exploring the effectiveness of a youthwork context to therapeutic support.
